Fred Koszcesza, 57, for more than fifteen years employed by Thomas Muleady as a tailor, died in the home of his sister, Mrs. Charles Sablotni, 828 East Leafland avenue Thursday morning. He had been in failing health for several years. Fred Koszcesza was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Ludwig Koszesza. His father, who died last year, was one of the first master tailors in Decatur and Fred had learned the trade from his father when a boy. He was born in Decatur Jan 2, 1874. He attended parochial schools here. He never married but lived with his parents at 951 North Morgan street for many years until their death. Since that time he has lived with his sister. He was a member of the Lutheran church and a charter voting member of the communicant in St. Johannes Lutheran church. He was active in church work, giving time and money. He leaves the following brothers and sisters: Adolph, Charles and William of Decatur; and Mrs.Selma Karloski, Mrs. Lydia Sablotni, Mrs. Mary Herbrig, Mrs. Lizzie Karloski, and Mrs. Selma Karlowski, all of Decatur. The body was taken to J.J. Moran & Sons funeral home.
