Alice Myers Dotson remembers that her granddad Myers came to live with them awhile when he was old and suffering from dropsy, with badly swollen legs. Her mother doctored him up nicely, but Alice and her sisters had to keep an eye on him as his mind suffered as well. She suggested that perhaps he had Alzheimer's, but it could also have been the dropsy, as poor kidney function can cause delirium. He is buried here beside his wife, though only a small bit of stone is now seen.
