Louia was married 1947 to Darlean Irene Schaefer they divorced . Had a daughter Barbara Ann Rehling her name was changed to Smith name of her adopted step-father Leslie Myron Smith. Barbara married 1973 David Richard Clark deceased . Louia has 2 grandsons Bradley D Clark & Leslie P Clark

US Army WWII and US Air Force Korean War
Lt. Louia B. Rehling served 16 years in the US Army and Air Force. During WWII he served with the 106th Infantry Division, the "Golden Lions".

Louia fought in the Battle of the Bulge. It is well known the 106th Infantry Division was the hardest hit division during the Battle of the Bulge.
He served in the campaigns in Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace.
Louia was overseas for three years during WWII and served with the Air Force during the Korean War.
Louia was one of five Rehling Brothers who served in the Army during WWII.
The war took it's toll and Louia died at a veterans hospital in Tuskeggee, Alabama at the young age of 46.
