Joseph K. Beets, a farmer who lived one half mile west of Atherton, died Friday night at his home. He had been ill with heart disease and pneumonia. He was born and spent all of his life in the Atherton neighborhood. His wife, two sons and three married daughters survive him. Funeral services and burial were at Salem Church Sunday afternoon.
