Funeral services for Sarah Essie Dale, mother of Mrs. Fern Blake of Lizton, were Monday afternoon, from the Lizton Christian Church. The Rev. Louis Crouch, pastor of the Lizton Methodist Church, and the Rev. John Williams, pastor of the Lizton Christian Church, officiated for the rites. The Walker Funeral Home of Jamestown was in charge of the arrangements. She died, Friday, May 16, 1969, in the Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, following an extended illness.
A native of Lizton, she was born Aug. 30, 1879, a daughter of James T. and Susie (Young) Leak. She was the widow of Ira Otha Dale. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge and the Lizton Christian Church. Surviving with the daughter are three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
