Heart Trouble Fatal To Former Middle Trustee
Ira O. Dale, former trustee of Middle township, died from an attack of heart trouble at his home in Lizton, Friday morning. Funeral services were held in the Lizton Christian church Sunday afternoon in charge of the Rev. Frank Huston, a former pastor of the Pittsboro Christian church, of which Mr. Dale was a member. The Rev. Richmond Blake and the Rev. A. W. Roahrig of Advance, assisted with the services. Burial was at Lizton. Mr. Dale was born near Lizton, January 25, 1876, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Dale. He had lived in northern Hendricks county his entire life. In 1896 he married Sarah Essie Leak. They moved to Pittsboro in 1910, and later served a term as trustee of Middle township. In 1931, they returned to Lizton. Two years ago they moved to a farm southwest of that town. Early in January he suffered a broken leg and for a time apparently was recovering, but heart trouble developed causing his death. He is survived by the widow and one daughter, Mrs. Paul Blake.
