Mrs. Straley
Funeral services for Edith Annie Straley, 71, of Goldthwaite were conducted Saturday afternoon in the Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Holtzclaw, pastor of First Baptist Church of Goldthwaite officiating. Interment followed in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Straley died Friday at her home.
Born Sept. 27, 1917, in Mills County to Tom Lewis and Cholleta Halbrook Hale, she lived most of her life there. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Goldthwaite.
Survivors include her husband, Forest Straley of Goldthwaite; her sons, David Straley of Evant and Dale Straley of Austin; three daughters, Charlotte Straley of Goldthwaite, Janita Wilki9ns of Hobbs, N.M., and Carol Lohn of Brownwood; two sisters, Deola Easley of Fort Worth and Willa Deen Engleke of Waco; a brother, Lewis Hale of Goldthwaite; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home had charge of all arrangements.
