Mary Alice Spear, wife of Andrew "Andy" James Jackson Weldon, was the daughter of Joseph F. Spear and Nancy. Mary Alice Spear and Andy had no children but raised one of her sister's children, Georgia Ethel "Effie" Oliver, who married James David Thompson. The sister of Mary Alice Spear was Sarah Ann Theresa Spear who died when Georgia Ethel Oliver was about three years old. Georgia Ethel Oliver Thompson is also buried in Oakwood Cemetery along with her husband "Jim" Thompson.
