Jackson White,Pioneer Farmer Here,Dies.

Jackson White,77,who was one of the real pioneer residents of Wagoner County died last Thursday morning at the home of his son Murphy S. White, near Catoosa, OK. Services were held Sunday afternoon at the home of Volley White, another son. Rev. I. W. Fulgham pastor of Wagoner's First Baptist church, officiating.

White, a native of Clubb, Wayne County, Missouri moved to Wagoner in 1902. A member of the Missionary Baptist church in MO, White helped to organize the Grand River Baptist church near Wagoner and served as Sunday School Superintendent & class teacher for many years.

He is survived by 11 children: John of Inola; Murphy of Catoosa; James Volly of Wagoner; Ben White of Inola; Betty Wilcox of Patterson, MO; Nettie Shearrer of Piedmont, MO & Mrs. Lydia Shearrer of Muskogee, OK. All were children of his first wife, Mary Twidwell White.

Surviving children of his 2nd wife, Florence (Ward) White were: Raymond F. White, of Vinita; Andy; Luke and Paul White, all of Inola, Rogers Co., OK. Burial was in the Rock Church* Cemetery under the direction of Hersmanns Funeral Home of Wagoner. He was predeceased by both wives and 6 children. He is also survived by 48 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren."

The 1st 8,were children of Mary Tamar Twidwell's & the 2nd 8, were Florence Ward's.
*Rock Church Cemetery was moved and re-named, the Pioneer Memorial Cemetery.
