Lloyd worked at Chesapeake Corporation for more than 20 years and retired from Colonial Williamsburg.
He lived on the Davis family home place that had been in the family for more than 100 years, where he continued the family farming tradition.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes T. Davis.
Lloyd is survived by a daughter, Katherine "Kitty" Susee (Ed) of Tempe, Ariz.; sons, L. Christian "Chris" Davis (Shirley) of Salina, Kan., Lawrence "Larry" Davis (Frances) of Chesterfield; stepdaughters, Martha Hamlet (Fred) of San Diego, Calif., Jeanne Bailes of Charlottesville, Va.; sisters, Virginia Solan (Mike), Lillian Blondek, Gertrude Lindsey; brothers, Preston Davis, Clifton "Boogie" Davis (Anna); 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; four special nephews, Vin and Ray Davis, Ralph Hylemon and John Teets; numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery, 20051 Tabernacle Road, Barhamsville, VA 23011. A memorial service will follow in the church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Vincent Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 417 11th Street, West Point, VA 23181.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 20051 Tabernacle Road, Barhamsville, VA 23011.
