Charles T. Carnahan, 77, Oak St., Johnsonburg, Pa., passed away on Januray 22, 2008 at Elk Regional Health Center, St. Mary's, Pa. Mr. Carnahan lost his battle with cancer while surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Carnahan was born March 2, 1930, in Johnsonburg, the son of the late Isaac B. and Lillian E. Gardner Carnahan. He is survived by his wife, Carmella D. Cicuzza Carnahan; one son, Charles M. Carnahan, Johnsonburg; three daughters, Sylvia E. Birt (Robert) Wilcox, Pa., Julie L. Carnahan (Lori Curcio), Bradford, Pa., and Shauna E. Carnahan, Raleight, N.C.; five grandchildren, Angela, Stephanie, Douglas, Shaina and Juliana; three sisters, Ruth Walker, Erie, Pa., Lottie Yopek, Erie, Pa., and Faye Caskey, St. Mary's, Pa; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two sisters, Jane Hinchhliff and Dorothy Polaski; and five brothers, Stewart, Lawrence, Ronald, George, and Isaac Carnahan.

Mr. Carnahan is a vedteran and was a member of the U. S. Air Force Radar Support Team during the Korean War from June 31, 1950 to July 1, 1954.

He worked for Conrail Railroad from 1956 to 1992 as a conductor/brakeman during his 36 years of service. Mr. Carnahan was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Moose Club and Piedmont Club and a former resident of Warren, Pa. Mr. Carnahan loved trains and enjoyed watching football, doing difficult crossword puzzles, scratching off lottery tickets, and mostly enjoyed the company of his family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. on January 28, 2008 at the United Methodist Church, Johnsonburg, Pa., with Minister Jeff Little officiating.

Mr. Carnahan will be interred in the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Johnsonburg, Pa.

In Lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the American Cancer Society.
