Mrs. Vance was born May 22, 1932, in Ripley, Miss., a daughter of Sam and Norah Biggs Leatherwood.
She was a loving homemaker, who enjoyed traveling.
She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and it's usher ministry.
She leaves to cherish her beloved memory, her daughter, Barbara A. (Percy) Buck, Cleveland; her twin sister, Ruth Gatling of Youngstown; six grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, other family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, whom she married May 10, 1945, and who passed away Aug. 15, 1985; a son, Larry; a sister, Jenny Banks; and three brothers, Robert, Charlie and Samuel Leatherwood.
Friends may call Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at the church.
