CONSTANTINE CAMPBELL DAVIS (son of JOSEPHUS NEWTON and VIRGINIA DAVIS(See Memorials) was born July 18, 1842 in Wythe County Virginia, and died September 14, 1909 in Burnside, Kentucky.

He married NANCY JANE MEESE February 18, 1869 in Pulaski County Kentucky. She was born 1850 in Pulaski County Kentucky, and died June 07, 1889 in Pulaski County Kentucky.

He married KIZIAH ELIZABETH MATHEWS ALLEN January 20, 1887 in Pulaski County Kentucky. She was born Abt. 1862 in Clinton Kentucky, and died June 05, 1922 in Pulaski County Kentucky.

Constantine Campbell Davis was wounded in action with Guerillas at Three Forks, Wolf River, Tennessee, on April 7, 1865. He was a member of the First Kentucky Calvary. Union Civil War, Company L.

He is buried in the Burnside Cemetary, No dates on Stone, in the section for Civil War Vets.

He was shot through the groin area and it exited out of his back. He walked with a limp the rest of his life.
