Mrs. Josephine Light Blake, 80, widely known resident of Malden District, died yesterday morning at her home at Spring Fork where she had lived in the past 46 years. She had been ill six weeks.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at the home with Rev. L. Bruce Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Younger's Hollow with the Bartlett and Wynns mortuary at Belle is in charge.
Active pallbearers will be Jasper, Paul, Oliver, and Alfred Blake and Russell and Warren Williams.
Surviving are six sons, T.W. Blake of Nellis, Phillip, F.L. and Remus Blake of Coal Fork, W.C. of Prosperity and Adam of Coal Fork; a daughter, Mrs. L.H. Williams of Beckley; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Josephine married William Blake on Nov 29, 1882 in Kanawha County by Rev. Michael Matheny.
Josephine's parents were Joseph and Rachel Light.
