Mary Jane Nickell married John C. Miller in Pontotoc County, Oklahoma on July 6. 1902. She and John had five children, including one set of twins:

John Arland Miller (1903-1985)
Virgie Rosa Miller PIERCE (1905-1998)
Virgie Velma Miller Ward PILLSBURY (1905-2002)
Troy Alvie Miller (1909-1979)
Hazel Viola Miller ROBERTS (1911-2005)

Her husband John Miller died suddenly of a heart attack on August 6, 1914, as he was riding home during a storm.

Mary Jane then married Marshall Ragland, on July 14, 1915. She was the third of Marsh Ragland's five wives.

Mary Jane and Marsh had three children - including another set of twins:

Elmer Dee (Bud) Ragland (1916-1989)
Elva Lee (Ed) Ragland WILSON (1916-2008)
Lillie Lottie (Tid) Ragland REEVES (1918-1995)

Mary Jane died after a short illness. The notice of her death in the Ada Weekly News reads as follows:

Feb. 19, 1925

The Death Angel visited the home of M. R. Ragland last Sunday evening at 7 o'clock and called for the mother of that home; Mrs. Ragland was a woman whom all of us knew and learned to love. Many friends and relatives were present in the hours of sorrow. Interment was made at McGee Cemetery.
