Rosa Flatt was born in "Indian City", Payne County Oklahoma. She married William Ostell Flatt on Feb. 19, 1911 at Ada, in Pontotoc County Oklahoma.

Rosa and Ostell had three children: Bertha A. about 1912, Vera B. in 1914, and Oren Alves in 1917. The children were all born in Oklahoma. The family moved to Texas in the 1920s. Ostell worked as a barber.

Rosa is buried next to her daughter Vera Bernice Boles (1914-1980). Her name is given (without dates) on the gravestone with Vera's. Vera was cremated, perhaps Rosa was as well.

Rosa's husband Ostell was born in Oklahoma on Aug. 31, 1890. He died in Tarrant County Texas on Feb. 4, 1967.
