JONES, HESTER McCOLLISTER - 71 OF Loudon, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the home of her devoted caregivers, her daughter & sons in law, Regina & Roger Irwin in Maryville. Hester said she was moving from her earthly home to her heavenly home into the arms of Jesus, and to be with her husband whom she loved and missed deeply. They were very loving Christian parents, who loved to help their family and other people in need when they could. Hester was a member of East Hills Baptist Church and she had also been a member of Riverview Baptist Church, Loudon for many years. She had worked at the Loudon Hosiery Mill and Loudon Elementary School cafeteria. Preceded in death by her husband, John H. Jones; parents, Gurthie & Susie Hyde McCollister; brother, Doyle McCollister and special son in law, Ricky "Peanut" Lynn. Survivors: daughter with whom she shared the same birthday, Regina (Lynn) Irwin & husband, Roger Irwin, Maryville; son & daughter in law Russell & Kim Jones, Madisonville; grandchildren, Kayla Grubb & husband, Kaleb, Kelsie Jones, Madisonville, Wendie (Lynn) Wollens & husband, Jason; great grandchildren whom she loved and missed dearly, Tori, Katie, Jacob & Averi Wollens, Lenoir City; new addition to family, Kelley Grubb, Madisonville; two sisters, Faye Brookshire & Aillen Brookshire Collins, Loudon. They had so many precious memories making a garden together and canning, having fun just sitting around sharing stories. Special brother in law, & sister in law Lester & Linda Jones, Clinton; their daughter and husband, Mary & Jason North, Powell; best friend, Mabel Hickey; other close friends, Betty Russell, Mary Lankford, Betty Wright, Joyce Brookshire, Debbie Smallen & Arizonia Jones; cousins, Phylis Selvadge & Gail McCollister; mother other friends, nieces, nephews, cousins & special friend, Bill McDonald of Indiana; special nephew, Arnold Brookshire for taking care of her yard work; her loving care givers, Mary Lequire and Wanda Halloway, Greenback. She also leaves behind a furry friend, Co-Co. Thanks for all the prayers and especially Blount Co. Hospice, Dr. Cowahn, Penny Kirkland, Tabatha Slage, her nurses and to CNA, Teresa Swaney, Dr. Jacklyn Crawford Littie and staff and nurse Susan Johnston. Thanks to Eugene & wife, Connie Irwin, Richard and Linda Chambers for all the food they brought us and to Sheila Flannagen. Funeral services 7:30 p.m. Thursday Loudon Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gene Russell & Rev. Tony Bandy officiating. Music by Mary Lankford & John Wright. Graveside services 11 a.m. Friday Loudon County Memorial Gardens with the dove release.
