Henry Clifford, 10th Baron de Clifford, Lord Clifford, Lord Vescy, son and heir.

Son of John Clifford, 9th Lord Clifford and Margaret Bromflete. Grandson of Thomas Clifford and Joan Dacre, Henry Bromflete and Eleanor FitzHugh.

Husband of Anne Saint John, daughter of John Saint John, and Alice Bradshagh. They had three sons and six daughters:
* Sir Henry, Lord Clifford
* Sir Thomas
* Sir Edward
* Jane
* Mabel m William FitzWilliam
* Anne
* Eleanor m Sir Ninian Markenfield
* Elizabeth
* Margaret m Cuthbert Ratcliffe

When his father was slain at Ferrybridge by a chance arrow on the eve of the Battle of Towton against the Yorkists, but the order for an attainder was placed on Henry - the order for vengeance passed onto the sons of your enemy - by King Richard III, as John had killed the king's brother, Edmond. His mother took him from Skipton Castle and hid him from the Yorkists, bringing him up among shepherds of a trusted family in Londesborough but without an education. At one point, he was moved from Londesborough to Threlkeld, Cumberland.

In 1472, Henry received a general pardon and the attainder was lifted, Richard III was no longer king. Henry VII restored Henry's estates in 1485.

Anne died before 1511, and Henry remarried Florence Pudsey, widow of Thomas Talbot and daughter of Henry Pudsey and Margaret Conyers. They had two sons and one daughter, Dorothy, who would marry Sir Hugh Lowther.

In 1513, at age 60, Henry fought the Scots at Flodden Field leading thousands of men under Percy of Northumberland and came away, alive and victorious.

After Henry died, Florence married a third time to Sir Richard Grey, the son of Thomas.
