Mrs. Gibbs was born May 18, 1913, in Ranger, the daughter of Harmon and Sarah (Casey) Horn. She attended schools in Ranger before graduating from the Waco Beauty School and has a successful career as a beautician. On Dec. 26, 1930, she was united in marriage to George O. Gibbs in Oklahoma, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 1960.
Anna Dale was a very accomplished artist. She was a member of the Porcelain Art Guild where she held many offices and attended art shows throughout the state of Texas. She taught oil painting, china painting and ceramics for many years in the Central Texas area. Mrs. Gibbs was a longtime and faithful member of the Axtell Baptist Church.
Anna Dale was also preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Buchanan "Buck" Horn and wife, Joyce, Herman Horn and wife, Adeline, Tant Horn and wife, Clara Mae, and Roy Horn.
Survivors include three sons, O'Neal Gibbs and wife, Lois, of San Antonio, Dan Gibbs and wife, Nancy, of Waco, and George T. Gibbs and wife, Vickie, of Mart; three daughters, Martha Gibbs of Waco, Sarah Newel and husband, Gerald, of Roseburg, Ore., and Anna Hyatt and husband, John, of West; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence Horn and wife, Carolyn, of Elk; two sisters, Betty Foster of Elk, and Lucretia Brown and husband, Len, of Hillsboro; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
