Graveside Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Gerald Cemetery near Leroy, with Dr. Carl Jennings officiating, burial by Aderhold Funeral Home in West.
Betty was born February 7, 1928 in Ranger, the daughter of Harmon and Sarah (Casey) Horn.
She attended schools in Ranger and was a graduate of Axtell High School.
On August 21, 1946 she was united in marriage to Eldon Foster in Axtell. Eldon preceded her in death on February 14, 1991.
Betty was a very accomplished artist. She was a member of the Porcelain Art Guild where she held many offices and attended art shows throughout the state of Texas. She was also a member of Timbercrest Baptist Church. Family was her greatest strength and she loved spending time with all of them.
Betty is also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Anna Dale Gibbs and Lucretia Brown; and brothers, Buchanan "Buck" Horn, Herman Horn, Tant Horn, Clarence Horn and Roy Horn.
Survivors include her daughters, Sue Jennings and husband Carl of Lewisville and Jan Ferguson of Elk; six grandchildren, Mimi Jennings, Cory Jennings and wife Tricia, Joanne Gilliam and husband Brandon, Andy Ferguson and wife Alisha, Michael Ferguson and wife Chelsea, and Matthew Ferguson and wife Destini; nine great grandchildren, Gannon, Connor, Kieren, Zachary, Kasen, Kolbe, Abby, Olivia, and Jasper; a dear friend and roommate, Beth Appell; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Anthony's Care Center and Blue Bonnet Hospice for their care, generosity and kindness.
