Mrs. Clara Downe, 75, resident for many years, died Sunday, January 8, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where she lived since 1934 with a daughter, Mrs. Marlon Ballinger. Services will be held in the Presbyterian Church here at two o'clock today, Thursday, Rev. W. Ray Radliff officiating.
Mrs. Downe was born at Rapid City, Manitoba, January 13, 1874. Her husband, former mayor of Cooperstown, died several years ago.
Surviving are the Council Bluffs daughter; a son, Eugene Markwood of Northwood, N. Dak., and a brother, William Bothwell of Spanaway, Wash.
