Weyers Cave – Caskie N. Truslow, 63, of Weyers Cave, and a retired employee of the DuPot Corp, in Waynesboro, died Tuesday evening (September 20, 1966) at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Truslow retired two years ago after working 35 years for DuPont.
He was a son of W. C. and Elizabeth (Coffey) Truslow and was born June 9, 1903 in Albemarle County. He later lived in Waynesboro before moving to Weyers Cave.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Virginia (Stout) Truslow; three children, Donald S. Truslow of Mt. Sidney, Mrs. Donna Reece of Alexandria, and Garey R. Truslow of Weyers Cave, and four grandchildren, and one brother, Maury Truslow of Nellys Ford and five sisters, Mrs. Rushie McCambridge and Mrs. Nellie Talley, of Washington, Mrs. Christine Bryant of Clifton Forge and Mrs. Daisy Allen and Mrs. Trosie Allen, of Nellys Ford.
Mr. Truslow was a member of Bethany Methodist Church. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Koontz and Lindsey Funeral Home Weyers Cave, by the Rev. Charles H. Conner. Burial will be in Naked Creek Cemetery.
Relatives will meet at the Truslow home at 1:35 p.m. Thursday. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
