Louis Heller, 76, of R. 2, Hilbert, died Tuesday April 11, at Calumet Memorial Hospital in Chilton following a long illness.
He was born July 19, 1884 in the town of Stockbridge, a son of the late John and Katherine Heller. His married to Miss Anna Reichwald was solemnized Aug 16, 1911 in Chilton.
Mr. Heller farmed in the town of Stockbridge all his life and was town chairman for six years and a member of the District School Board for many years.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Anna are three sons, Adolph of Stockbridge, Harvey of Hilbert and Arno of Appleton; one daughter, Mrs. Al Baer of Potter; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother, Edward Heller of Stockbridge; and one sister, Miss Laura Heller of Fond du Lac.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two children.
Funeral services were at the Stockbridge Methodist Church with the Rev. Fred Thomas, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Portland Cemetery.
