OBITUARY:
Everdell Farmer Dies.
Pierce Butler, 78 years old, died at the home of his son, James, at Seventh street and Andrus avenue this city, Saturday morning. He had been afflicted with heart trouble for the past six months or more and had been at the home of his son for the past two weeks, his death not being unexpected. The funeral was held from St. Mary's church Monday morning at 9 o'clock.
Mr. Butler is survived by a widow and nine children. The children are: Mrs. Alex McClellan of Foxhome, Thos. Butler of California, Mrs. H.J. Sullivan of Constance, Minn., H.F. Butler of St. Paul, Mrs. Agnes Ackert of Everdell, James and John Butler of this city.
Mr. Butler was born in Tipperary, Ireland, in March 1833, coming to this country at the age of 16. He settled in Trenton, Canada; whence he moved to Janesville, Minn. and thence to Everdell, Minn. in August 1900, where he has lived since. He married Miss Annora Woods in July 1861 and she survives him.
Mr. Butler leaves an estate of about $10,000 which goes to his widow. The family have the sympathy of many friends in their bereavement.
