Mrs. Jossie Peairs, 62, of Chipley, Fla., passed away Monday, December 4, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Peairs was a lifelong resident of the local area. She worked 18 years with Bay County School Board transporting ESE students. Mrs. Peairs enjoyed fishing and loved gardening. She was Baptist by faith. Mrs. Peairs is survived by her husband, Bruce A. Peairs of Washington Co., Fla.; daughter, Lisa G. Batchelor and husband Steve of Panama City, Fla.; four sons, James R. Jolly and wife Marie of Panama City, Fla., Patrick J. Peairs and wife Patty of Meridian, Miss., John E. Peairs of Washington Co. Fla., and Brynn K. Peairs of Washington Co., Fla.; Mother, Verna Dortch of Panama City. Fla.; three sisters, Agnes Richardson husband Dempsey of Washington County, Fla., Laverne Walters of Panama City, Fla., Lois Holeyfield and husband James of Panama City, Fla.; four brothers, Johnny B. Newsome of Washington County, Fla., Billy Joe Newsome and wife Edna of Washington County, Fla., Wayne Newsome and wife Michelle of Lynn Haven, Fla., Sam Dortch and wife Cindy of Southport, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Kymberly, Christina , Sarah, Tiffany, Andrew, Robert, Matthew, Tabitha, and Laurel; and great grandson, Camyron. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2006 at the Kent- Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Sanders and Chaplain Don Hodges officiating. Interment will follow at Double Pond Cemetery. Asked to serve as active pallbearers are: Jackie Quinn, Kenny Walters, Stevie Walters, Louis Johnson, Buddy Nelson, John Fontaine. Honorary pallbearers will include: Jason Newsome and Tony Quinn. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Thursday, December 7, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family equest donation be made to Humane Society of Bay County, 1600 Bay Avenue, Panama City, FL 32405 or Hospice of the Emerald Coast, P.O.
