Bruce Alan Peairs, 80, of Chipley Fl. went peacefully to join his wife Jossie Florene Peairs on Tuesday August 7, 2018. Bruce was a retired U.S Navy Veteran who received a Medal of Commendation for his Heroism, Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and 4 Good Conduct Medals throughout his 20 year service. After retiring, Bruce worked for the Paper Mill and Hill Petroleum as well as many other side jobs. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 2 sisters, 1 son, a grandchild and a great grandchild. Survivors include 6 children, Lisa Batchelor & husband Steve, James Jolly & wife Marie, Patrick Peairs & wife Sherri, Erryn Atwood, Robyn Cohen and Brynn Peairs, 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Memorialization will be by cremation. Visitation will be from Noon-1:00pm and memorial service from 1:00pm-2:00pm on Saturday August 18, 2018 in the chapel at Kent Forest Lawn 2403 Harrison Ave. Panama City, Fl. 32405.
