Ruth Leslie Thompson, 84, Burlingame, died Sunday, March 3, 2002, at a Topeka care center.
She spent her early life in Goff and graduated from nearby Bancroft High School. She was a teacher for 29 years, most of them in the Auburn-Washburn Rural school district.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Auburn, So and So Club, and Fairplain Grange in Burlingame.
She married Murray Orvis Thompson on March 18, 1951, southwest of Goff.
Survivors include a daughter, a brother, four sisters, two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.
