Lora Jackson MacNeil, 88, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away October 24, 2010 of causes incident to age. She was born January 16, 1922 in Fountain Green, Utah to George Christian and Ethel Draper Jackson. Married Norman Flem (Skip) MacNeil August 22, 1946. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of the church and served in many callings and capacities. They resided in Midvale, where together they raised their family to be hard working, faithful individuals. She cherished her family and took great pride in their accomplishments. Lora was a gifted and talented homemaker. She was an accomplished seamstress and received national recognition for some of her projects. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She lived a life of service and caring for others in all she did. She will be deeply missed by those she touched. Survived by her children, Warren (Linda), South Jordan; Terre (Mike) Marshall, Lake Point; seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grand-children. Preceded in death by her husband, Skip MacNeil. Friends may call Friday, October 29 from 6-7 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State St., Midvale. An informal remembrance will follow at 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale.
