FOSTER, RI - Mildred I. Andrews, 90, of Danielson Pike, died Saturday at home.
She was born in Foster, RI on September 25, 1920, daughter of the late Henry and Lena (Hopkins) Tucker. She was the wife of the late Ernest R. Andrews who died in 1980. Mrs. Andrews was a member of the Hopkins Mills Union Church, South Foster Ladies Auxiliary and the Young at Heart Senior Citizens. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Ernest R. Andrews Jr. of Seekonk, MA, Janet I. Thomas of FL, Joan L. Steere of Chepachet, RI, Jon C. Andrews of Dayville, and Joyce L. Hearn of Foster, RI; sister, Ruth Diser of IA; sister-in-law Marcella Tucker of Foster, RI, 21 grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Russell N. Andrews and Wayne R. Andrews and brothers, Norman E. Tucker and Henry Tucker Jr.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 A.M. at The Hopkins Mills Union Church, Foster, RI. Burial will follow in Hopkins Mills Cemetery. Calling hours will be held in Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main Street, Danielson, CT on Tuesday from 4-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to South Foster Chapel Society, c/o Hopkins Mills Union Church, 45A Old Danielson Pike, Foster, RI 02825.
