Windsor - The obituary for Glen Abercrombie, 81, of Gays, states that he was born June 8, 1908, in Windsor, the son of Raymond and Minnie Storm Abercrombie. He married Louise Ponton, Feb. 22, 1935, in Champaign. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, David Abercrombie of Lebanon, Tenn., and Ed Dorn of Bouder, Colo.; one daughter, Nonna Lytle of arcola; two brothers, Oris Abercrombie of Marissa and Otis Abercrombie of Effingham; two sisters, Lavaun Leggitt of Windsor and Leota Rathburn of Decatur; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
One brother, two half-sisters and one half-brother preceded him in death.
Mr. Abercrombie was a farm machinery mechanic before his retirement. He was a member of the Lincoln Land Carriage Club.
Burial in Ash Grove Cemetery, south of Windsor.
