Heinrich was born in Germany between 1740 and 1745 and arrived on the ship Chance, Charles Smith, Master, from Rotterdam, last from Crowes, England. He took the oath of allegiance September 9, 1765. He married Anna Rosina Vetterman, daughter of Balthaser Vetterman (alias Baltzer Fetterman) and Catherine Gertrude Ludwig , October 16, 1770 in Alburtis, Lehigh County, PA. They first settled in Lehigh Township, Northampton County, PA. They moved to Greenwich Township, Berks County PA in 1795. They moved to their next and final settlement in Turbot Township, now Delaware Township, Northumberland County, PA in 1805. Their farm was known as The Sinking Spring.

They had ten children:
