Catherine has no grave marker, but at least she has an online memorial. She continued gardening, depending on others only for plowing. Every day she would walk the two blocks into downtown Newaygo. Neighbors were shocked to see her in her late nineties cutting down a tree that had been damaged. She was a dressmaker and seamstress until failing vision forced her to give that up. She tells of seeing lots of Indians around during her childhood. Catherine should be an inspiration to all of us.
