Mary E. Loop was born to David and Margaret Airhart-Loop on July 14, 1841 in Boone County, Indiana. She married John P. Wright on March 15, 1864 in Boone county, Indiana. To this union five children were born, Ida Robenia on Febr 27, 1865, Sarah in 1867, David in 1873, Lora in 1877 and Christian on July 3, 1879. Christian died on Jan 16, 1968 and Ida died Aug 23, 1933.
The family later moved to Tennessee and this is where John P. died on March 21, 1901 and is buried at Ethridge cemetery in Ethridge, Tn. Christian is also buried at Ethridge cemetery.
Mary went to Texas to live with a daughter. At one time she was in Cleburne, Tx when her brother, David Loop died.
Mary Wright is buried at LaFayette cemetery, LaFayette, Upshur county, Texas. Mary died Oct 17, 1923.
On her stone at the top it says, "Asleep" and on the bottom it says, "Another Link Is Broken In Our House Band."
