Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2010 at Greater Coleman Temple C.O.G.I.C., 2405 Bay Road. Pastor H. J. Coleman, Jr. will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Browne's Mortuary, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, on Sunday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Our beloved Lawrence Charles Scroggins was born June 16, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan to Bennie G. (Richardson) Scroggins and Conway Scroggins. They survive him. He passed away September 5, 2010 at the age of 57 years.
Lawrence loved spending time with family and friends. He also loved to dress in the latest fashions, have fun and he enjoyed cracking jokes.
He leaves to cherish many memories, one daughter, Metasha Scroggins of Saginaw, MI; three sons, Kowase Scroggins, Montecon (Kewanda) Scroggins and Michael Williams, all of Saginaw, MI; his step-mother, Adelaide Scroggins; two sisters, Teressa Sims (James), Mary Roberson (Derrick); three brothers, Frank Scroggins (Barbara), David Scroggins (Shawanda) and Rickie Scroggins (Sandra); special nieces, Visa Sims and Shirlon Roberson; special nephews, Pernell Scroggins and Darrell Sims; three aunts, Zora Scroggins, Rose Richardson and Cedell Thomas; one uncle, Horace Scroggins; many other nieces, nephews and friends, including special friends, Rochell Johnson, Delphine Gray and Janice McClain.
Mr. Scroggins was preceded in death by his grandparents; one nephew, Antione Sims and one niece, Cawanna Works.
