MRS. E. LEBLANC DEAD
Was Daughter of Calcasieu's First Sheriff-Funeral Today

One of the oldest residents of Lake Charles and the daughter of the first Sheriff of Calcasieu Parish, Mrs. Emile LeBlanc, died at 7:25 o'clock last night at her Common St. home.

Mrs. LeBlanc was 84 years of age, having been born at Moss Bluff February 22, 1842. Before her marriage, she was Miss Alzenith Moss, the daughter of Johnson Moss, one of the first settlers of this territory.

She was married on January 1, 1868. She is survived by one daughter, Miss Gussie LeBlanc of Lake Charles; three sons, Oscar and Alonzo of Sulphur, and Estorage of Port Arthur; one brother, Henry Moss, of Choupique, and one grandchild, Lee LeBlanc.

Funeral services will be held at the home this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock followed by a service at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Rev. H. Cramers officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
