Velma E. Nahrwold dies this morning


Mrs. Velma E. Nahrwold, 57, wife of Walter J. Nahrwold of Hoagland, died at 8 a.m. today at Parkview Memorial Hospital in Fort Wayne, where she had been a patient three weeks. She had been in ill health for four years.


She was born in Allen County Oct. 25, 1912, a daughter of Ernest and Mary Wefel-Buuck, and was married to Walter J. Nahrwold Aug. 14, 1943. Her husband is owner of Hoagland Farm Equipment at Hoagland.


Mr. Nahrwold was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Soest


Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Miss Beverly Nahrwold, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Emilie Bultemeyer of Preble, and Mrs. Emil (Clara) Scheumann of Hoagland; and four brothers, Henry E. Buuck of Pomona, Calif., Paul W. Buuck of Evansville, Fred C. Buuck of New Haven, and Robert C. Buuck of Hoagland.


Funeral services will be conducted at 1:15 p.m. Thursday at the Zwick Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Soest. Rev. Otto Mueller will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday until time of the services.
