"Mrs. Thelma Hauan, 95, died Saturday (March 1, 1997) at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Thompson, with the Rev. Perry Fruhling officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Thompson. Visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. today at Petersen Lund Funeral Home. Thelma was born Oct. 7, 1901. Survivors include one son, Philip Hauan of LeMars; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers."
