Carl P. Krier, 79, of the Good Shephard Nursing Home, formerly of 706-12th Ave S, died July 25 at the Nursing Home.
He was born May 11, 1896 in Pearl Lake to the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Krier and married Mayme Ahles June 24, 1919 in Rockville. He lived in St. Cloud all his married life and wa a retired guard at the St. Cloud Reformatory.
Mr. Krier was a member of Knights of Columbus 961 and the Nocturnal Adoratin Society of St. Mary's Cathedral.
He is survivied by his widow; son, Vernon, Columbus, OH; daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Valeria) Erwin, Davenport, IA; and Mrs. Jerry (Renee) Dockendorf, Edina; sister, Mrs. Hildegarde Krippner, St. Cloud; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am Monday in St. Mary's Cathedral with burial in Assumption Cemetery.
Friends may call at Daniel Funeral Home after 3 pm Sunday. St. Mary's parish prayers will be 8:30 pm Sunday and Knights of Columbus Council 961 will pray at 7:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
