Mildred M.Ballard,84, of Lyndhurst,died on Wednesday,December 16,2009.
She was born July 5,1925 in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late Walter l. and Vennie Terrell Zimmerman.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and had retired from Con-Agra with 31 years of service.
Surviving are her six children,Thomas "Pete" Burnett and his wife,Shelby,of Waynesboro,C.J.Burnett and his wife,Pat,of Stuarts Draft,Jean Brannon and her husband,Jim,of Seattle,Washington,Diane Hodgson and her husband,Tracy, and Kitty Travis,all of Sumter,South Carolina,and Pat Small and her husband,Larry of Nellyford;one sister and her husband,Lottie and Robert Young of Sumter,South Carolina;one brother and his wife,Larry and Mildred Zimmerman of Waynesboro;24 grandchildren;31 greatgrandchildren;four great-great-grandchildren;numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog,Sandy.
A service will be conducted 1 p.m.Monday,December 21,2009,at the Calvary Baptist Church by Pastor William T.Cole.Interment will follow in Glen Lirk Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be nephews,Jimmy,Ronnie,Frankie,Charlie,Acie,and Wayne Zimmerman.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
