Mrs. Catherine (Kay) Kenney passed away on Friday, July 8, 2005 at the age of 89.

Catherine was a native of Indiana and followed her younger brothers Leonard and Leslie to California in 1941. Catherine always told the story that she practically raised the boys and headed west to keep an eye on them. She met and married Dr. Charles Richard Kenney, a native of Madera. Charles preceded her in death July 3, 2004. They were married 62 years. Her three brothers and two sisters also preceded Catherine in death.

Catherine was a member of Madera United Methodist Church. Catherine loved to travel until it became too difficult. She did not have children but was an Auntie to every neighbor child. Catherine loved children and was known to her grand-nephews and niece as "Grandma Kay". She loved her friends and caregivers and to Catherine they were also her family.

One brother Leslie Foust of Vancouver, Washington survives her. Her family and friends will lovingly miss her.

A Memorial Service will be on Friday, July 15, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Jay Chapel in Madera. Services conclude at the chapel.
