Mrs. Nancy McDonnell, daughter of Thomas Mahood, mother unknown on DC, she married H. A. McDonnell, was widowed, retired, died at 33 Maple Street, Rocky Grove, Sugarcreek Borough, of stomach cancer, per death certificate 115290, whose informant was Mrs. I. C. Adams of the same address. Buried Dec 12 1924.

Franklin, Dec 10 -- Mrs. H. A. MacDonnell, 78, died at 10 am Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. I. C. Adams, of Maple Street, Rocky Grove, after a lingering illness. Mrs. MacDonnell's maiden name was Miss Nancy Mahood, and she was born on August 25, 1846.

On September 17, 1870, she married H. A. MacDonnell.

She was a member of the Rocky Grove Church of God. Of kindly and helpful nature the deceased was a great aid to her friends and neighbors in times of sickness until her own health failed.

Surviving are sons and daughters, Mrs. Adeline Adams, of Rocky Grove; Mrs. Alice Welton, of Denver, CO; F. A. MacDonnell, of Niles, OH; A. E. MacDonnell, of Greeley, CO; Mrs. J. F. Boyer, of White Temple; Mrs. Arthur Goodwill, of Bully Hill; Mrs. Ed. Springer, Chicago; Mrs. Fred Eustus, of Windsor, CO; two brothers, S. R. Mahood of Sauneman, IL, and H. L. Mahood, of Emlenton; and one sister, Mrs. G. R. Lawrence, of Emlenton.

Services for Mrs. Nancy Mahood MacDonnell were held at 10 am Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. I. C. Adams, Maple Street, Rocky Grove. Two hymns were read by Rev. E. L. Nicely. Burial followed in Nicklin Church Cemetery in Frenchcreek Township. Pallbearers were Willis Boyer and Ed Young of Rocky Grove, Reuben Weaver and Albert Rosenberg of Oil City.

Attending from out-of-town were Mrs. Ed Springer and Pressley Holland of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Fred MacDonnell of Niles, OH, H. O. Mahood and Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Lawrence of Emlenton, Mrs. James Barnes of Sandy Lake, Burt Barnes of Clintonville.
