Mrs. Gertrude Boyer, 73, of Franklin RD 2, died in the Franklin Hospital at 9:20 am today. She had been in ill health for some time and had been in the hospital two weeks. She was born at Niles, Frenchcreek Township, Feb. 26, 1884, daughter of Henry and Nancy Mahood MacDonnell.

She attended the Oil City Church of God.

She married John F. Boyer, and he survives, with 11 children, Mrs. Elsie Eldridge, Marienville; Boyd E. Boyer, Ashtabula, OH; Glenn S. Boyer, Melbourne, FL; Mrs. Anna Bloom, Erie; Mrs. Ruby Roemer, Phillipsburg; Evan C. Boyer, Oil City; Mrs. Esther Geer, Franklin; Mrs. Verna Proctor, Jefferson, OH; James L. Boyer, Derby, CO; Ruth and Grace Boyer, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Alice Welton, Denver, CO; Mrs. Anna Goodwill, Franklin; Mrs. Mabel Springer, Chicago; Mrs. Carrie Estus, Greeley, CO; 24 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2:30 pm Monday at Fox Street Church of God with Rev. H. D. Thomas, pastor of Oil City Church of God, and Rev. Frank A. Towers, pastor of Fox Street Church of God, officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Church.
