Biography from the David Family Scrapbook by Bruce David:
Following the death of his father, Albert, then fifteen, lived with his brother, Benjamin, at Saegertown, and learned the trade of harnessmaker with Absolom Mook. Under age, he enlisted in the Civil War, but was released. At the age of twenty, he again enlisted in the army, and became a sargeant, stationed in the Indian and Oklahoma Territories. Here, he later helped to survey the boundaries. Returning east in 1874, he was married, and went to the Bradford oil fields, where he later acquired his own wells. His death resulted from a fall from an oil derrick.
