OLD RESIDENT IS DEAD - GALESBURG, MI, Apr 16th - Death called another from among the older residents of this vicinity this morning when Mrs. Adelia Cady died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, M & M Amos Carpenter, 10mi north of this village. Deceased was in her 79th year, was a native of New York state and had been many years widowed. The time for the funeral is not yet announced. Kalamazoo, Gazette Saturday April 17, 1909 (NOTE: Mrs Amos Carpenter (Rebecca Cady) is actually her step daughter. Adelia was 2nd wife to Selem Cady, the 1st wife was her sister, Sarah Babcock, who died in 1856, leaving 4 daughters.)
