Elizabeth Jane Yoak Hounshell, 91, who resided in Greenville NC, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 16,2011. She was a native of Logan, WV and a long-time resident of Greensboro NC.
She was a member of Irving Park United Methodist Church, former organist at Guilford College Methodist Church, and long-time volunteer at The Women's Hospital of Greensboro.
Mrs. Hounshell was preceded in death by her husband Charles David Hounshell; her son Jeffrey David Hounshell; and by three sisters, Peggy Wallace, Jean Haley, and Lou McKelvie.
She is survived by a son, Doug Hounshell and his wife Cathy Hounshell of Berkeley, CA; a daughter Beth Tripp and her husband Carl Tripp of Greenville, NC; grandchildren Paul Hounshell, Jennifer Hounshell, Elizabeth Hounshell, David Tripp, and Matthew Tripp; one great grandchild Zachary Hounshell; and sisters June Martin of Miami FL and Jackie Meese of Weston WV.
