Mrs. Eleanor Stunkard, aged 81 years, wife of Robert Stunkard and one of the oldest and best known women of Hickory township died at her home near Eastbrook Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock after an illness due to the infirmities of age.
Mrs. Stunkard was born in Scott township, February 20, 1842, the daughter of James and Nancy Glass Dodds. She was a member of the Eastbrook United Presbyterian church.
Besides her husband to whom she was united in marriage 61 years ago, she leaves two children, Lewis and Miss Sara Stunkard at home. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Martha McMillan of this city.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 5 at 2 p.m. from the residence in charge of Rev. Littell. Burial will be made in the Eastbrook UP cemetery.
