Mrs. Jennie Smart, 85, 115 Weber, died Sunday at Ball Hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Kenton County, Ky., and had lived in Muncie 49 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jeannette Burton, Muncie, and Mrs. Loretta Harper, Paoli; four sons, Ben Smart, Paoli, John Smart, Muncie, Louis Smart, Hartford City, and Ernest Smart, Yorktown; 50 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Parson Mortuary with Rev. Elmer Sollenbarger officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Callers will be received at the mortuary from 7-9 o'clock tonight and from 2-5 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
