Hubert was the son of Leonard Burton "Burt" Ausburn and Mary Louvenia "Venia" Poole Ausburn.
He was married to Mildred Hood on February 9, 1942, and they had one child, Melvin Ausburn.
Hubert was killed in Verdon France in World War II.

Word has been received from the War Department that Hubert Adolphus Ausborn's body is on its was to the U.S. He was killed in France on June 13, 1945.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Ausburn, one son Melvin, two brothers, Lawson and Thomas, one sister Miss Thelma Ausborn.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Reeves Funeral Home of Easley, South Carolina.
