Rev. Raleigh L. Hicks
Rev. Raleigh L. Hicks was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Ozark County, MO., the son of Talmon H. Hicks and Fannie Bragg Hicks. He departed this life in Rogers, Ark., on July 14, 1997, in the home of his nephew, at the age of 76.
Raleigh was a retired truck driver from the Portland, Ore., area having moved to the Harrison, Ark., area 10 years ago. Raleigh was a minister of the Baptist faith for several years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and two sisters.
He is survived by one daughter, Dottie Neimala, Bingen, Wash., five sons, Aurthur Leeman Hicks, Yakima, Wash., Charles Hicks, Concord, Calif., Sammy Hicks, Augusta, GA., Tommy Hicks, Spokane, Wash., and Rex Hicks, of Klickitat, Wash.; four brothers, Clarence Hicks, Shepherd, Mich., Edgar Hicks, Ava, Leano Hicks, of Harrison, Ark., and Robert W. Hicks, of Beebe, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Harrison, St. Louis, and Mrs. Opal Miser, Pea Ridge, Ark.; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Hicks Cemetery south of Longrun in Ozark County, with Larry Hicks officiating.
