Levi Plummer was a son of Joseph and Ann (Day) Plummer. Census records indicate he was considered insane. His sister Hannah (Plummer) Scott evidently cared for him in his later life. This care continued until his death as indicated by his being buried next to her. Hannah's husband, Francis Scott, is buried next to his first wife in the nearby Montgomery Chapel Cemetery.

The 1900 Census shows Levy Plummer (age 62) living in Union Township, Hendricks County, Indiana with sister Hanna R. Scott.
