Levi Plummer was a son of Joseph and Ann (Day) Plummer. Census records indicate he was considered insane. His sister Hannah (Plummer) Scott evidently cared for him in his later life. This care continued until his death as indicated by his being buried next to her. Hannah's husband, Francis Scott, is buried next to his first wife in the nearby Montgomery Chapel Cemetery.

The 1850 Census shows Levi Plumer (age 12, born in Indiana) living in Eel River Township, Hendricks County, Indiana with parents Joseph (age 37) and Ann (age 45) and siblings Mary (age 17), Martha (age 15), Thomas (age 14), Hannah (age 11), Frances (age 9), John (age 7), Ann (age 5) and Richard (age 2). The 1870 Census shows Levi Plummer (age 33) living in Eel River Township with father Joseph (age 56) and brother Richard (age 21). The 1880 Census shows Levi Plummer (age 42) living in Eel River Township with father Joseph (age 66) and step-mother Lydia. The 1900 Census shows Levy Plummer (age 62) living in Union Township, Hendricks County, Indiana with sister Hanna R. Scott. The 1910 Census shows Levi Plummer (age 72) living in Union Township with sister Hannah P. Scott. The 1920 Census shows Levi Plummer (age 82) and his sister Hannah Scott living in Union Township in the household of Franklin Spangler.

Mrs. Nancy McReynolds and Mrs. Elizabeth Richmond attended the funeral of Levi Plummer at Lizton, Saturday.
